Width is the measurement of how wide something is from side to side. It is the shorter dimension of a rectangle.
Examples
- The width of a door is about 3 feet.
- A rectangle 8 cm long and 5 cm wide has a width of 5 cm.
- The width of a piece of paper is 8.5 inches.
