Line Segment

Definition

A line segment is a part of a line that has two endpoints. Unlike a line, it does not go on forever.

Examples

  • The side of a triangle is a line segment.
  • A line segment from point A to point B is written as AB.
  • A ruler shows line segments of specific lengths.
