The least common denominator (LCD) is the smallest number that is a common denominator of two or more fractions. It is the least common multiple of the denominators.
Examples
- The LCD of 1/3 and 1/4 is 12.
- The LCD of 1/2 and 1/5 is 10.
- The LCD of 1/6 and 1/4 is 12.
