Definition
Hundredths is the second place to the right of the decimal point. One hundredth is one of one hundred equal parts, written as 0.01 or 1/100.
Imagine a 10-by-10 grid with 100 small squares. Each small square is one hundredth (0.01) of the whole grid.
Examples
- 0.25 means 25 hundredths.
- 0.01 = 1/100.
- In 3.47, the 7 is in the hundredths place.
