Foot

Definition

A foot is a customary unit of length equal to 12 inches. The plural is feet. It is used to measure medium-sized objects and heights.

Examples

  • A standard ruler is 1 foot long.
  • 3 feet = 1 yard.
  • A person might be 5 feet tall.
