Addition

Definition

Addition is the operation of combining two or more numbers to find their total. The result is called the sum.

Think of pouring two groups of objects together into one group. The total number of objects is the sum.

Examples

  • 3 + 4 = 7.
  • 25 + 13 = 38.
  • 100 + 250 = 350.
